Hey everyone, just wondering what you all think of the supernatural. Such as humans with special abilities (telepathy, empathy, etc.), werewolves, vampires, other dimensions, aliens or creatures on distant planets, maybe even talking or having contact with the dead or ghosts. Just interested if anyone has had experiences with anything like this or has any interesting stories, etc etc etc. I myself have experienced something myself. When I was about 13, my little sister's ball rolled out into the street when a car was coming. Right before she got hit, a lady ran in the way and grabbed her, saving my sisters life. Before we could walk across the street to thank her, another car drove by, and she was gone. Angel, super speed, ghost? My sister was too little to talk sadly, so she could not explain where the lady went within that second of the car obscuring my view of her and my sister.

Oh, I certainly do believe in 'angels', if that's what you'd like to call them. Benevolent supernaturals, maybe...I suppose it depends on how religious you are, hm? Things like that happen all the time with absolutely no evidence. As far as werewolves and vampires, well...A little too far fetched for me. They're fun as hell to read about, I'll give them that, but it's a stretch. Aliens? Hell yes. I think it's arrogant to believe that humans are the only intelligent life in the vastness of the universe, and there is just...no way that we occupy this space alone. I suppose we'll never know until something beams down, yeah?

well until something beams down(which I rather it not) I'll continue watching my sci-fi shows, not being afraid of an actual alien coming through my front door and killing me, but theres always a chance they're friendly, but I think I'll call off ufo's as alien spacecraft until a friggen alien does come to get me...... I serious laugh at the movie signs....

I guess I should say what I believe in since I started this hehe. Let me just say I keep a very open mind when it comes to the paronormal or supernatural.
Angels and demons, of course. I think that if you were to train your mind, you could do things like telekinesis, empathy. I also think that there is a part of the brain that can only be used/activated when you experience deep emotions or something dramatic happens. And when that happens you kick it in overdrive and can do things such as super speed or abnormal strength. Things like werewolves and vampires, sorry, but I don't. But if I were given a story or evidence that they existed, I wouldn't deny. As for aliens, I would love for there to be things on other planets, we could learn from them and accomplish great things if we were to work as a team.

I'm very much a realist in the way of 'supernaturals' 'ghosts' 'aliens' etc. I can believe stuff I'm told pretty easily, but getting on the topic of that, its VERY hard to get me to believe stuff like that. I do believe in spirits, but I personally do not believe a place is haunted by said spirit or demon. Aliens...possibly, but I see them more on the microscopic level. Vampires and werewolves, no way, although I agree with Sid that they make awesome stories.
As for telekinesis or magic, I see more on the illusion level. Magic, I don't believe in. Psychic's, not so much as well. telekinesis, although it'd be wicked awesome, I don't believe can be done. Nor magical powers or any sort. Once again, would be sooooo cool though to have. Now, there is one thing I kinda believe in because I believe this happened, which would be like seeing in dreams...De Ja Vu.

I think I have also experienced De Ja Vu, but just to make sure can I get a full description on what it feels like.

I agree about other life forms. There's every possibility, if not probability, that other life forms exist outside our planet. They might only be single-celled organism, or they might be a very advanced species, but I do believe we're not alone. I also agree w/ Ben, I'd rather not have to find out a hard way, I'd rather have US find THEM. (Of course, if "they" can think, they probably have the opposite view of that. : P)
Werewolves/vampires? Personally I think that they're just the spawn of folk tales that grew and by the time they reached America, they'd gotten outrageous. Just like a line of 5th graders playing telephone: The 1st person hears "Ms. Smith has a new T.V.", and the last person hears "Ms. Smith lives in a tepee" Simply, they're legends. It'd be sweet if they weren't, but until I actually SEE one in the flesh (or fur), they're legends in my mind.
Ghosts and Spirits are definitely a yes in my book. We have no proof of what happens after one dies. Everything that happens after someone dies is a complete mystery. So it's completely in the realm of reality for ghosts/spirits to exist. I think that as long as we LOOK for them, we won't get many results. (i.e. Ghost Hunters, other shows like that). It would just be best to just let them come to us, and if they don't exist, then there won't be any activity.
As for abnormal reflexes/abilities, I believe those are caused by adrenaline rushes. Some people have faster reflexes than others, so what's to say that the amount of adrenaline that's created isn't that way too? Some people might have more doses at one time than others. These are just my opinions though. =)

Hear are some phonomenons (if thats how you spell it) that seem supernatural to me:
Bendetto Supino, a nine year old Italian boy had his bedclothes and furniture and comic books burst into flames when he stared at them.
Ben Underwoodtaught is blind, both of his eyes were removed (cancer) when he was 3. Yet, he plays basketball, rides on a bicycle, and lives a quite normal life. He taught himself to use echo location to navigate around the world. With no guide-dogs, he doesn't even need hands: he uses sound. Ben makes a short click sound that bounces back from objects. Amazingly, his ears pick up the ecos to let him know where the objects are. He's the only person in the world who sees using nothing but eco location, like a sonar or a dolphin.
On August 30, 2007, the eve of Malaysia's 50th Independence Day, Rathakrishnan Velu (or Raja Gigi, as he is known locally) broke his own world record for pulling train with his teeth, this time with 6 coaches attached weighing 297.1 tons over a distance of 2.8 metres at the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. Raja Gigi, from Tampin in Malaysia learned a technique of concentrating his powers to any part of his body from an Indian guru at a young age of 14.
Sixty-four-year-old Thai Ngoc, known as Hai Ngoc, said he could not sleep at night after getting a fever in 1973, and has counted infinite numbers of sheep during more than 11,700 consecutive sleepless nights. "I don't know whether the insomnia has impacted my health or not. But I'm still healthy and can farm normally like others," Ngoc said. Proving his health, the elderly resident of Que Trung commune, Que Son district said he can carry two 50kg bags of fertilizer down 4km of road to return home every day. His wife said, "My husband used to sleep well, but these days, even liquor cannot put him down." She said when Ngoc went to Da Nang for a medical examination, doctors gave him a clean bill of health, except a minor decline in liver function. Ngoc currently lives on his 5ha farm at the foot of a mountain busy with farming and taking care of pigs and chickens all day. His six children live at their house in Que Trung. Ngoc often does extra farm work or guards his farm at night to prevent theft, saying he used three months of sleepless nights to dig two large ponds to raise fish.
Those are just a few, if you want to read more, let me know. But that's just a small taste of the proof that people with supernatural abilities can exist.
