This is something which a manager of mine at work (Jared- the evil bastard!) is constantly bugging me about- PDA, or Public Displays of Affection. He thinks it's unprofessional, which I happen to agree with, but also, seems to be jealous of my closeness with the people with whom I work. Now, I'm not talking about walking around and kissing all the ladies I work with (only AFTER the guests leave- Just kidding...), but poking, messing up of the hair, etc. to make work more fun. I enjoyed my work until everyone started taking it too seriously- it's just a bloody waiting job, you guys! Dang... kids these days. Anyway, I grew up riding and training competition horses in Upstate NY. I've been riding since I was three years old, and not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty dang decent at it- not QUITE a true professional yet, but I could if I made the choice to be. Anywho, as you might've figured, this is a highly female-dominated sport, so I grew up around almost all women. While this, of course, did wonders for my dating and sex lives (a WHOLE other topic), it also raised me a fair bit of tough, but with a bit of understanding of women that most men seem to lack- I know crying is usually just blackmail of some sort, that maybe will depend on how the guy moves in the next few moments, and that girls really don't understand just how bad a shot to the pills hurts! I also grew up flirting, PDA'ing all over the place, and learning that this is a great way to have fun. It may be immature, unprofessional, or whichever, but dangit, life is just too short to not have fun and live while you can. So, Jared, kiss my shiny, metal arse :-p Mark W.

I soooo know what you mean, Mark. And yes, Jared has ISSUES. You don't really do much to be considered PDA, I think. Our school pretty much defines PDA as makingout in the hallway.
Kendall you should so post your thing you wrote in Creative Writing about PDA on here. It was awesome and amazing and I think I laughed my lung up in class from it, plus alot of things you've written.
