Alright, well...here's my open discussion attempt: Quick rules so everyone is happy: *) You can say more or less what you want as long as you're polite about it. I didn't post this thread for people to bash one another. *) Just remember your manners and what we learned in Kindergarten: The Golden Rule. *) Be respectful. Okay dokey kiddies, I wanna know...what do you think about Gay Rights and those of the homosexual persuasion? I myself am bisexual and really always have been, leaning more towards the female end of the dating spectrum. I just want to know your opinions on gay marriage, gay rights, all that fun stuff. If you don't agree with it, tell me why and be mature about it. "It's gross!" is not a reason, at least not a good one. Alright people...post away.

Alright Lexi, you know I'll be nice!!! ^_^
First off, most people know that I have been raised Christian, and I'm also Christian now. "According" to the bible, it says that being gay is "sinning". But then again, people sin everyday.
After being raised in that atmosphere, I still truly believe that homosexuals and bisexuals are people too and should be treated as such. So what if they have different likes and dislikes than the rest of us? I truly believe that they were most likely born that way (I know my desceased uncle was). I've met people who are gay, lesbian, and bisexual, and I see them just like anyone else...great friends.
So on the topic of Gay Rights, I believe that they should be able to have them. If they are happy with their significant other, then by all means, they should be able to spend the rest of their life with that person. The only I ask is that they don't try to persuade me....as I already know what I am and that nothing is going to change that.

My take on it- everyone's entitled to be as miserable or as happy as anyone else (married or together, in other words - do you thing- live long, love, love life, and be free. I still have yet to see the Scripture state that being gay/lesbian/bi/half-ostrich is sinning. That's the clergy or even just church-goers imparting their own beliefs and backing it with bullnuts, not "God's Word." Eating meat on certain days of the week is also a sin in some religions, eating cow, and all kinds of other things, but we do them anyway. And nutse, sinning's fun! I'm a darn sinful person, and I do enjoy a good sin every now and then (or three...). I still consider myself a good person, and anyone who thinks otherwise is certainly entitled to their opinion, even if it is wrong Cheers- Mark W.

basically i agree with theillusionist. ive never really cared what anybody is or how they live their lives. the only time im gonna have a problem is if a girl hits on me...but that hasnt happened yet so no complaints. i definatly support gay rights and think that gay marriage should be allowed.

The only problem I have is that I know some gay/bi people that do things in front of people to make them feel awkward, no I'm not assuming they said they did it on purpose and for fun. I do believe against gay/bi people as I was born and raised christian, and my views will stay that way. But as well in the end it is a "free country" as we all know and people can believe and feel whatever way they want, and I personally don't agree with homosexual / bisexual feelings, but again I'm a christian whom believes in things against it "Be fruitful and multiply" hard if you're with the same sex.... but still again your/their choice.
so in the end I believe against it but as well, I feel it is your choice to make and I can't stop and won't attempt to in any way =)
